Religious Director/Youth Coordinator:

Imam Atef grew up studying in the Al-Azhar school system, and after memorizing the Holy Qur'an at a young age, he went on to obtain his bachelor's degree from Al-Azhar University. This gave him the opportunity to study the religion of Islam in-depth under the mentorship of some of the most well-known Islamic scholars.

Imam Atef leads congregation and conducts ICP-related religious activities including Jumah, Eid, Taraweh and daily prayers and khutbahs. Publishes religious articles in various forms of media. Teaches Tafsirul Quran, Hadith, Sirah, Fiqh, tarbiyah classes and other Halaqas. Provides matrimonial and divorce counseling, funeral services and guidance, and other forms of counseling as needed. Organizes programs for the youth as the youth coordinator. Represents the ICP as a guest lecturer at other mosques and events. Works with interfaith organizations

Imam Atef has delivered a number of invited lectures, both locally and internationally, for such organizations as the Islamic Society of Britain, CAIR, Al-Maghrib Institute, and PIIN. In the Pittsburgh area, he participates in and coordinates a variety of interfaith and community outreach events.
